Taste of the North is rooted in the ambition of a young business student,
Eric Frechette, who sold impeccably fresh, savory strawberries door to door
to help fund his education. When Frechette completed his business degree,
he returned to those roots—supplying fresh produce grown and delivered
with great care to merchants, grocers, and wholesalers across New England.
Today, Taste of the North has become a known and trusted name in a wide range
of fresh produce—organics, hydroponics, and conventionally grown.
We have an unbeatable reputation for outstanding produce.
We’re known for our beautiful vine-ripened tomatoes (greenhouse, organic
and conventional), bell peppers (greenhouse and conventional), English cucumbers
(organic and conventional) as well as strawberries and blueberries and a wide
range of seasonal vegetables from growers across Quebec.
We’re incredibly selective. We meticulously sort produce
and select only the best for our Taste of the North label—the best looking,
freshest, tastiest produce in the market. And we guard that quality fiercely,
handling produce with great care and providing perfect climate control to
ensure your fruits and vegetables reach the market in just-harvested perfection.
We take pride in supporting and promoting local growers. Be
assured that your fruits and vegetables—hydroponics or field grown—are
nurtured, tended, and harvested by hand by top growers across the region.
When you buy our produce, you can be certain it never languished in cargo
holds or in long-haul transport. It’s fresh and local. The way produce
was meant to be.
